.::WARNING::. New character alert!! Well not really since she's in my "Seirei Fighter Tomoshiro" poster, but since I haven't given her back story yet, she's new enough. So here's one of my gunslingers, an occasional psycho, of the series, Mariah. She may be a cop but don't let that fool you, this chick doesn't play nice. Just wait till you see what she does to Tomoshiro not pretty.

History: Mariah is a Lycuman (half Lycanthrope and half human) born and raised in the small and peaceful town of Weston Hills. Her mother, who is human, and father, who is a were-panther, work as ammunition manufacturers and own their own gun shop named "Cat's Eye Bull's Eye". Because of this, Mariah was exposed to guns at a very young age, and learned to use a variety of weapons when she was a teenager. As a child, Mariah was fascinated with stories about police detectives and crime mysteries; although at the time she was still unsure of the career she wanted to pursue. While she finish grade school and middle school life in her hometown, she had to finish high school in Shura City, a place known for its dangerous neighborhoods and high criminal activity. Throughout her high school years, Mariah inadvertently lived on the edge of life, often witnessing and even getting caught in the middle of street crimes, gang & cop shootouts, and other dangerous activities. It was because of this that she decided to become a police officer. Often her parents considered transferring her to a different high school, but Mariah insisted she'd stay, convinced that these activities were something she would have to deal with sooner or later. In spite of her chaotic high school life, she did fairly well in school, and upon graduating that age 18, she immediately began training to become a police detective. She became well-versed in the use of multiple firearms thanks to her parents, and was naturally athletic and physically well conditioned thanks to her lycanthrope DNA. When she turned 19, she went to college and in two years, earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She attended Lyco Police Academy and graduated in 14 weeks after enrollment (it usually takes even the best student's 21 weeks to graduate). At age 22, she applied and was accepted to the Shura City Police Department's third division. During her six years as an officer she's collared 23 drug dealers, 19 illegal arms dealers, handled 26 hostage situations (all done without a single casualty), stopped 28 gang related crimes, and thwarted 42 robberies. While she holds an excellent police records and is a commendable detective, she also holds the highest shooting record of any other officer in her division and perhaps the entire city (she's shot almost 352 people). Though she has never killed anyone, she has yet to be promoted past detective rank because of her "Shoot first and ask questions later" mentality, and because she often steps outside of her jurisdiction in order to catch criminals. Regardless, she is considered one of the best cops in the entire city and one of the most dangerous women alive.

Present estimates of her abilities have been compiled and summarized below.

Personality: Mariah is very competitive, easily bored, and extremely ill-tempered. Though she is able to act diplomatic when the need arises, she prefers to charge in guns ablaze'n when she gets the gist of a situation. She is socially inept as she doesn't have many friends aside from her partner, Alexis Calhoun, who she's been friends with since the academy and has never gone on a date in her life. She has considerable disdain for all criminals and has a black-and-white point of the law. In her words, "You break it, you bought a bullet." When she was younger she was always distant towards others, besides her parents, and when she became a teenager surrounded by violence, she developed a rather-bleak outlook on life, relying only on her own power and skills, in spite of anyone's attempts at offering her help. She was never interested in learning how to use magic either, feeling uneasy trusting the intangible force that is Mana, believing that she can "Put a bullet between your eyes before you can twitch a finger."

Skills and abilities: While Mariah technically has no superhuman powers, she has trained rigorously for several years with almost every type of fire arm imaginable. This, combined with her Olympic level acrobatics, highly developed kinethesia, and super reflections makes Mariah one of the deadliest fighters in the world. She possesses the peak athletic strength and endurance of a woman in her mid/late twenties who regularly engages in intensive physical exercise. Her detective skill rival those of Sherlock Holmes and her skill with firearms and ability to dodge bullets is almost unparalleled. While she is proficient in using a multitude of fire arms, her weapons of choice are two standard Beretta 92FS's. Mariah has special devices mounted into her sleeves/wrists that feed magazines smoothly into her guns as well.

Fighting Style: Mariah is a practitioner of "Gun Fu", specifically the style of Gun Kata, a militant combat style that teaches efficiency in the use of gun tactics.

Developed through analysis of thousands of recorded gun fights, it was determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element.

The Gun Kata style treats the entire gun as a total weapon. Each new position representing a pinnacle kill zone, inflicting the utmost amount of damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defendant clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire.

While Mariah's style is very effective against large groups of enemies, it discounts enemies that attack from a prone position or from ranged attackers (such as snipers). And because she does not possess super hearing, she is virtually defenseless against a well concealed sniping opponent.

No other conclusions of Mariah's abilities can be confirmed until further data is gathered.
